Our home, built in 1790 as a tavern, was modified in the 1820's to reflect the trend of the Greek Revival style.



Welcome to Historic Alstead Center!

Located on Alstead Center Road in Alstead, New Hampshire, just 10 miles north of Keene, the General Amos Shepard Bed and Breakfast offers quiet respite from a hectic world. Built in 1790 as a tavern by General Amos Shepard, the house has recently undergone a complete restoration which took three years to complete. We offer three bedrooms, one single and two doubles, each with their own private bathroom.

With spacious downstairs areas and sweeping porches, we also offer function facilities for events ranging up to 150 people.
